One of the places I use to find new music is NME.com. NME, a British music magazine, has been around for ages, and usually gives me access to plenty of new music, mainly from their weekly "20 Tracks You Have To Hear This Week" feature.
Just this last week, they listed an unknown to me band from Nashville, Bully. I'm 90 minutes South of Nashville, and don't know the ins-and-outs of the Nashville music scene, but had never heard of the band. After one listen, I'm intrigued, and will agree with the writer that they do sound a bit like All Dogs. Bully is punky melodic garage rock at its best, and I'm off to listen to the rest of their songs.
Update: I bought the 4 track EP shortly after this post, and I'm fascinated with the band, a fan -- superb vocals, absolutely lovely voice. Brainfreeze and Bully are the standouts, but there isn't a bad track on the EP. Perhaps I'll try to see them live now.
