Haus of Pins announce Cassette Store Day split EP

Manchester, England based record label Haus of Pins has announced their first offering for this year's Cassette Store Day -- a split EP featuring the Manchester (UK) band Brown Brogues, and the Virginia (US) band Eternal Summers.  Each limited edition cassette is hand crafted, and will be available for the event on September 27th.

The Brown Brogues fuzzed up dirty garage rock breathes life into any party.  Their latest EP, Zoloto, is the band's strongest work to date, fine tuning a sound built for a rough and tumble barroom.  The lead single of the split, 'You Don't Know' is described as being snotty and childish.  I wouldn't expect anything less.

For a sampling of their sound, listen to the excellent foot stomping 'My Birthday'.

Eternal Summers' offering for the split, 'Window' is my first taste of the band, and I loved what I heard.  Shoegazy and dreamy with some serious guitar bite in between delicate and lovely vocals.  I'm captivated by their sound, and will be doing some digging around in their back catalog.  Thanks to Haus of Pins for the introduction.

If you are new to Eternal Summers, as I am, listen below.  Another incredible tune, a cross between the Cure and the Sundays.
