I'm finally finished with the Bass Drum of Death photos. This was my second show at the Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, and the first for photography. I learned quite a bit, and will be better prepared next time. For this shoot, I packed light by only bringing in my 24mm-70mm f2.8 lens. I could have used the extra reach of my 70mm-200mm f4 lens, but I worried it would not be fast enough in the dark venue. It was left in the car along with my 50mm f1.4 prime, which probably was the best choice. It's fast, incredibly sharp, but not enough reach as I really like getting up close on some photos. Anyway, here's the best of the lot.
