Speedy Ortiz's new track, 'Doomsday', is available today digitally or on a 7 inch as part of the Famous Class Records LAMC series. It's name your own price for digital, and $6.60 plus shipping for the 7 inch. On the flipside is Chris Weisman's track 'I Took It Off A Record'. 100% of the digital proceeds will go to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music - a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools.
'Doomsday' is a slow fuzzy rocker featuring some of frontwoman Sadie's signature whip-smart lyrics, I'm listening to it as I type away. The band is a favorite around these parts, earlier this year Major Arcana got some serious love around the house with continuous plays of 'Tiger Tank'. If the LP had been released on cassette tape, I'd already be on my 2nd copy. Stream 'Doomsday' below, it's the Aimless Skylarking Song of the Day.
