Introducing the Memphis Dawls

One of the acts I wanted to see at Secret Stages this year was the Memphis Dawls. After hearing their take on folk country and some seriously sweet vocal harmonies, I decided I had to see them live. However, the venue was having sound issues that night, and their set was delayed. Since time was tight and there were multiple acts to see, I had to scoot off quickly to see the next artist a block over, and I completely missed their performance.  Dividing my time between venues wasn't terribly wise.

When I returned later in the evening to see another act, the venue still hadn't gotten its act together, more sound issues. With so many bands being whisked in and out, something like that was bound to happen. Anyway, the Memphis Dawls have a new album out, 'Rooted in the Bone' on Madjack Records, and from what I've heard, it's fantastic. Check out the lead track, 'Please Don't Leave Me Now' below. And once again, for the budget minded, it's a free download.
