Lost Years Remixes Empathy Test's Throwing Stones

Synth-pop is in full on revival mode. The movement has been incubating underground for a few years, but didn't fully announce itself until the wildly popular movie Drive made it fashionable again. Now, bands are dusting off synths and pushing them to the front of the stage. London based Empathy Test is one of those bands. They took cues from Drive, yet manage to make vintage 80's synth-pop. The band's bittersweet lyrics, swirling synths, and spot on production values have gained fans young and old all over the world. It seems as if each new day brings great news, be it an upcoming KCRW premiere or a BBC Introducing radio interview, and that's not going to stop any time soon. With the ink hardly dried on a label deal and a few live dates under their belt, it's their time.

Here at Aimless Skylarking, we've been fans of the band since the beginning and have enjoyed watching the year they've had. Over the year, we've learned a few things from the band: make good art, believe in the art, and tirelessly promote that art.  Top to bottom, the band has done everything in their power to succeed.

About a month ago, they released the lead single from their upcoming EP, 'Throwing Stones'. Now, they're back with a sparkling remix of  the infectious 'Throwing Stones' from Lost Years, and we want to share it with you right here. Stream it below.
