Song of the Day - I Couldn't Say It To Your Face by The Twilight Sad

Scottish band The Twilight Sad announced a string of North American tour dates for next year. The tour starts February 23rd in Allston, MA and ends March 14th in Phoenix, just in time for SXSW in Austin. The band just toured the States in support of We Were Promised Jetpacks, this time around they'll be headlining. No information about support was given at this time.

We saw the band in Birmingham a few weeks back with We Were Promised Jetpacks and we're still thinking about their performance. It was that good, passionate and bold, we left the show in awe.

Driving a bit for a gig is no big deal to us, we drove 90 minutes for that show, but this time around, the band is missing us by 1000 or more miles. America is huge, and no band can possibly land in every corner, expecting them to do so is insane. Making them feel guilty about it is even worse, but we've all done that before. We are fans after all!

We'll catch them next time they are within a 2-3 hour drive.

In addition to announcing the tour, the band released the stark and lovely track 'I Couldn't Say It To Your Face' an Arthur Russell cover from the band's tour only acoustic EP. Stream it below, it's the Song of the Day!
