The 8th entry in our Top Prospects for 2015 is the Scottish 2-piece Pinact, Corrie Gillies on vocals/guitar and Lewis Reynolds on drums. We first discovered the band and their melodic punk/grunge mix late last year because of their association with Art is Hard Records. The track that hooked us was the anthemic Post Card Club offering, 'Brew', and fell hard for the band after hearing the hard-charging 'Into the One'. Then, the band released their finest work to date, 'Guillotine', which placed in our favorite songs of the first half of 2014, and now has over 25,000 plays on Soundcloud.
Over the summer, the band recorded material for a full length, but we haven't heard much else since then. We hate to speculate, but hope to hear it early next year. We anticipate that new music, along with their visit to New York City for the CMJ Festival will be the springboard the band needs to have a bigger and better year in 2015.
