To list all the things I'm a sucker for would be an exercise in futility, a depressing task if you ask me. The boss at Aimless Skylarking could pile on too, perhaps even adding a few embarrassing items to the list. For instance, when nieces and nephews are involved, the name Uncle Sucker has been used on occasion, but that's a story for another time. Today is about music, and one thing musically I'm a sucker for is a finger picked acoustic guitar. There's inherent beauty there, a fragile quality emerges from the delicately plucked strings. And when it's teamed with a warm voice capable of melting hearts, I'm captivated. Using that recipe, UK based artist Seafoal has won me over with her lovely track 'Soulsick', a late night lonely song if there ever was.
Seafoal is Siana Sweeney, a 20 year-old singer/songwriter from the UK. Her EP, Lucid Living, is available now on iTunes and Amazon with physical copies available on Negative Reaction Records. Stream the incredibly beautiful 'Soulsick' below and fall for it like I did.
