At the end of the year, I attacked my inbox and sorted every single submission, whittling them down to a manageable number, 100 or less. In the back of my mind, I knew that it wouldn't last. January was a relatively slow month, but February piled on and hasn't let up since. Despite that, I'm reaching back to a submission made in early December because I liked what I heard and tucked it away. Sadly, I let other things bury it, but just last week in another attempt at inbox organization, I rediscovered the band, and the track I enjoyed the most.
Jack Deth from the Michigan based post-punk band Trancers submitted his band's latest work way back then, and it's stuck around through several inbox cleansings. Something about their track 'Cement Blues' resonated with me, and it's time to give it some website space. It's noisy, melodic, shouty, weird, but all sorts of fun. Stream 'Cement Blues' below, it's my Song of the Day!
