I seem to spend a lot of time here sheepishly admitting to forgetting about bands. Sometimes it's purely timing, I only have time for 9-10 pieces a week, and tough decisions have to be made. But mostly it's because I forget, bookmarking and/or emailing a link to myself isn't terribly effective. And that's what happened to Baby Brave, a pop band from Northern Wales.
This morning, I found some time for organization of bookmarks, emails, and the like, and rediscovered the band. I'd bookmarked their Bandcamp page when they announced their latest EP, King Horse, which was released last summer.
I spent some time this morning listening to the band again, rediscovering those songs that made me bookmark the band in the first place. And they held up, I still like them even today. Over on the band's YouTube page, they have posted videos for three of the tracks from the EP. Each different, but all worthy of inclusion here, but I'm going to focus on the dark and brooding 'Wrists'. The nightmarish video is jittery and disconcerting, flashing lights, and in and out of the water, it fits the vibe of the track. Watch it below.
