Smiling Disease's debut LP Beach Bodies: 2008-2014 will be released this weekend. The collection of lo-fi bedroom recordings span 6 years of recording through a Skype microphone into Audacity by the then burgeoning artist, Oliver Moss of Evans the Death. DIY label Memorials of Distinction will be supporting the release, the LP is £4 for digital only, £5 + shipping for limited edition cassette (100) shipping out around April 5th, 2015. In addition, the package comes with a .zip folder of bonus material, 4 full length chronologically divided works. An incredible deal for £4, or about $6.50 for us in the States.
After a few times through the album, 'Double Locked', 'Klingon Race', 'Kalimotxo', and 'Lame' stand out. Join me in streaming the infectious 'Klingon Race' below, it's my Song of the Day.
