Last summer, in a round of Soundcloud exploring, I found the Los Angeles based band Happy Hollows. Two listens to their synthy effervescent track 'Endless' is all it took, it just oozed with 80's charm, and I was caught up in a fit of nostalgia. Hooked! I bought the album shortly after, and it became a late summer and early fall stalwart in the Aimless Skylarking playlist. Now the band has revealed a new track, 'Astrid' for our spring enjoyment, and they've not changed that winning combination of 80's synth-rock and Sarah Negahdari's big voice. 'Astrid' is out May 24th, and would hope that at least an EP is in the cards too. Stream 'Astrid' below.
Happy Hollows are Sarah Negahdari, Charlie Mahoney, and Matt Fry.
