Occasionally when I'm paying attention I'll see a new Twitter follower (there's not that many) who is a band/artist, and I'll check out their music. Now, I can't remember if Chorusgirl followed me first, or if I did, but it's not important at this point. When I circled back, I distinctly remember listening to a couple of Soundcloud tracks that were a year old. I was impressed by the band's jangly surf pop stylings, not to mention they showed off some really sweet vocal harmonies which is always a big hit with me. I spent a good part of a week revisiting the tracks, but since the tracks weren't new, I didn't feature them here. I had hoped for some new music soon, well, that time is now, and it was worth the wait.
The band has teamed up with Odd Box Records to be part of the label's 100 Club Series, and their first offering from the series is 'No Moon'. There's a definite 80's vibe in the composition, and Silvi's vocals brim with confidence. I'm captivated, and feel like I'm listening in on a late night episode of MTV's 120 Minutes all over again. Join me in streaming 'No Moon' below, it's my Song of the Day!
