North Carolina based surf-pop band Daddy Issues have announced a brief string of southeastern dates to begin in July. The band will kick off the tour on July 16th in their home state before stops in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, and South Carolina. According to the band, if you catch them live, expect to hear 30-40 minutes of filthy, depraved material, which sounds like a rock and roll show to me. Tour dates listed below.
July 16th Charlotte, Neighborhood Theatre
July 17th Athens, House Show
July 18th Atlanta at Star Bar w/ Thelma and the Sleaze, Bad Spell, Midnight Larks
July 19th New Orleans at Creepy Fest, Prytania Bar
July 20th Tallahassee, All Saints
July 21th Savannah, The Cat Haus
July 22th Charleston, The Pop-Up
To get to know the band a bit better, check out the band's social media accounts for a few duck face photos, and a tbt karaoke pic. Then dig around to find out which band member is over the moon for the band Everclear, and who is feeling middle-age because of a Pinterest board devoted to macrame. To top it all, they also revel in the origin of the word fart. In other words, lots of smiles and laughs. Pure fun, just like their music. Stream 'So Hard' below.
Daddy Issues are Lo Davy, Lindsey Sprague, Madeline Putney, and Joshua Johnson. According to their Facebook page, a full length is planned for this summer.
