I'm always amazed when I hear music I think is out of place. For instance, there's some really great folk/country music coming out of Scandinavia, and there's a thriving rock and roll scene in Nashville in country music's backyard. Seattle's Seapony amazes me in the same way, mainly because I immediately think of grunge when I think of the city. And the band's brand of dreamy surf pop is miles from the bleak darkness grunge elicited. However, that bit amazement is not the only reason for these few sentences about the band, the music really shines. I'm relatively new to Seapony's work, but have enjoyed the past few weeks listening in on their new offerings, and past works. After hearing the captivating 'Let Go' and 'Saw the Light' from their upcoming LP, A Vision, I'm a fan and have the July 31st release date on my calendar. Join me for another stream of 'Let Go' below.
