Here at Aimless Skylarking, you're not likely to find much in the line unadulterated sweaty hard rockers. It's not that we don't like them, it's because we grew up on them. It takes a lot to impress in that department, it can't be derivative. Early on in our lives, it was lots of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, then hair metal consumed us, before grunge completely informed our musical views. Toss in a bit of math rock in the early 00's to even it all out. Each wildly different in appearance and attitude, but all brought the energy and fury with heavy riffs and unhinged percussion. When we hear something like that, we're swept back to the past. And while all those memories aren't great, we enjoy a bit of nostalgia. And London 2-piece Golden Legacy reminds us of those days, but it's wildly different because of Lorena Cachito's truly magical vocals. It's a splendid study in contrasts.
