Melina Duterte first caught my ear on one of the fabulous Beech Coma compilations with her gorgeous dreamy shoegaze track, 'Forget About it Kid.' Since then, the San Francisco native has been creating music as Jay Som and has been getting lots of buzz since self-releasing her 1st full album late last year. Polyvinyl records took notice and gave it a proper re-release, on vinyl to boot. In support of the album, she hit the road with Mitski and Japanese Breakfast to cap it all off.
Key Tracks: 'Peach Boy', 'Next to Me', 'Slow', 'Why I Say No'
