New Zealander Pip Brown's (aka Ladyhawke) third album Wild Things followed up a change in scenery and a new lease on life. She had spent many years covering up social anxiety with alcohol, also using it so she could get on stage. After getting clean, she moved from London to Los Angeles to start anew. What emerged was a collection of bright 80's soaked synth-pop tracks. There are hints and clues at the darkness and struggle she endured though, but it comes across as a celebration, not a pity party.
Key Tracks: 'Love Song', 'Let it Roll', 'Chills', 'Golden Girl'
