The last three trips over to the UK, I have tried to meet up with Esper Scout's Sarah Statham to no avail. Leading up to each trip, we've spoken several times to see if our paths would cross, but she was either in the states or back home in Manchester. We just weren't in the same place at the same time, it wasn't in the stars. Next year, I will make it up north to see her and her band. They've been an Aimless Skylarking favorite from the beginning, capturing my attention with their name being pulled from Alfred Bester's excellent Sci-Fi title, The Demolished Man. Now they're back with a new track full of their signature straight forward highly informed rock and roll, 'Gaps in the Border Fence'. The track is available on a Come Play With Me split with ZoZo. Stream it below.
Esper Scout are Abbi Phillips (drums), Kirsty Morton (guitar), Sarah Statham (vocals/guitar), and Rebecca Jane (bass).
