My 3rd performance at this year's Secret Stages Music Discovery Festival was Athens, Georgia's Thayer Sarrano at Pale Eddie's Pour House. In 2014, the stage was in the back corner of the bar, and provided a bit better conditions for photography. This time, the stage was set up near the front door near windows and with dreaded LED lights overhead -- green, red, and white. It's always a challenge when photographing live music in small venues, and this time proved no different.
That said, I was excited to be able to see an artist I'd read about on one of my favorite English blogs, Just Music I Like. Since I first read about her music last year, I've wanted to include her here on these pages. I even get her press releases, but I am so far behind with the email submissions I have to pass on so much great new music. The track I fell for last summer, 'Crease' is a dark and foreboding psych-rock stunner. Stellar. I'm looking forward to exploring her catalog. Find 'Crease' below as well as my photos from her performance.
